چکیده
Abstract In youth with Type 1 diabetes, adherence to medical treatment regimens requires the involvement of both parent and child. A clinic-integrated behavioral intervention in Family Management Diabetes (FMOD) trial was shown be effective controlling deterioration glycemic level; yet mechanism remains unknown. It is possible that effectiveness through improved parent–child relation. To investigate whether improves relations, we proposed a novel approach allows differential perceptions child toward unobserved relationship. Leveraging manifesto data collected from FMOD trial, extended standard hidden Markov model by inserting layer parent- child-specific states. We took Bayesian perspective estimation developed an efficient computational algorithm sample joint posterior distribution. Extensive simulations were conducted demonstrate performance modeling framework. Application reveals families arm are more likely stay Harmonious relation state less transition Indifferent state. Compared parent, tends have heterogeneous perception

The air transport industry is seeking to manage risks in air travels. Its main objective is to detect abnormal behaviors in various flight conditions. The current methods have some limitations and are based on studying the risks and measuring the effective parameters. These parameters do not remove the dependency of a flight process on the time and human decisions. In this paper, we used an HMM...

OBJECTIVE To test the effect on diabetes management outcomes of a low-intensity, clinic-integrated behavioral intervention for families of youth with type 1 diabetes. METHODS Families (n = 390) obtaining care for type 1 diabetes participated in a 2-year randomized clinical trial of a clinic-integrated behavioral intervention designed to improve family diabetes management practices. Measuremen...

background: routinely collected data from tuberculosis surveillance system can be used to investigate and monitor the irregularities and abrupt changes of the disease incidence. we aimed at using a hidden markov model in order to detect the abnormal states of pulmonary tuberculosis in iran. methods: data for this study were the weekly number of newly diagnosed cases with sputum smear-positive p...
متن کاملThe structure of parental involvement and relations to disease management for youth with type 1 diabetes.
OBJECTIVE To test structural models of parental involvement in type 1 diabetes and to examine associations of parental involvement with adherence and metabolic control. METHODS Two hundred and fifty-two young adolescents (10-14 years) completed reports of adherence and parents' involvement: acceptance, independence encouragement, communication, general and diabetes-specific monitoring, freque...
